Are you looking to have factory or aftermarket parts installed? Maybe you bought a livery and don’t know how to apply it? Perhaps its time to run a dash cam in your car? Push to Start is now offering installation services for specific applications!
The ringleader of Push to Start, Andi, has previous experience as a vehicle electronics installer, specifically relating to car audio, lighting, and security. She has done numerous head unit/radio installs, dash cam runs, and speaker installations in a variety of vehicles. Off-road lighting is also part of her specialty. She also runs dash cam units, both front and back view, and rearview cameras when needed (even for double-din radio installs when applicable). If it requires wiring, she’s your “man”. Additionally, if you need vehicle graphics installed, such as a windshield banner or a vehicle livery, Andi has almost 10 years of vinyl graphic experience and will make installing these graphics look easy. Andi also has gentle experience with fiberglass, specifically repairing holes or cracks and filling empty spaces.
The secondary assistant of Push to Start, Jesse, has approximately 20 years of automotive wrenching experience, on a variety of 1980s-2000s vehicles from the Toyota Corolla AE86 to the Ford Probe to the Nissan 240SX, although he specializes in Miatas and 90s/00s Subarus. He can install factory or aftermarket parts, depending on the application, and also has experience with remote tuning using TunerStudio for Megasquirt (specifically around the Mazda BP and Toyota 4A engines).
For certain jobs, both Andi and Jesse team up to get the work done a little bit faster. Need a clutch job? You’ll be certain the duo will be teamed together to get it done. From water pumps to engine swaps, clutch jobs to simple battery changes, this team knows what to do (or can figure it out).
We can do entire engine-out re-seals (from valve cover gasket/s to oil pan gasket). We can do front engine work (timing belt, water pump, camshaft and crankshaft seals). We can do engine replacements. We can do fluid changes (oil, coolant, transmission, differential). We can do speaker and sound system installs. We can repair wiring harnesses. We can diagnose (and hopefully fix) check engine lights.
What we cannot do: machine work or custom fabrication; powdercoating or cerakoting; wheel alignments or wheel balancing; welding; ecu flashing or engine tuning*; frame correcting; graphics printing; paint work or repainting; dent pulling/paintless dent repair.
We can come to you, or you can come to us. We add additional service charges for gas, should you require us to come to you, but we charge overall less than a shop might. We don’t have a lift, but we do have a plethora of tools and equipment to get nearly any job done. We prefer that you source your own parts, but we can get them for you too if you can’t find them, we just require payment up front for parts.
We are located in Olympia, Washington. We prefer to stay local, but won’t say no to travel. We primarily are looking to work on other Miatas and Subarus for drivetrain and mechanical work, but pitch us your car and work and we can let you know if it is within our scope of knowledge. Vehicle electronics that are not vehicle specific (such as dash cams, or door speakers) are never an outright no, but ensuring we have all the proper parts is key for those (such as the proper dash kit for a radio install). And, of course, vehicle liveries, banners, and stripes are well within our scope regardless of the vehicle.
